Pin & Needles, Extremely ITCHY !! after shower also

I have pins & needles all over my body, even as we speak I get this tingly feeling that itches me on my back, arms, legs, face, scalp, torso, just about everywhere !!  and it is agonizing 5 minutes after a hot shower, I have to wrap myself up in sheets or dip my entire body in BABY OIL and I get some relief. I also have pain in my upper leg where the hip meets the leg on the left side and also my lower back is in pain. I walk with a limp and its always in pain, even lying down, not sure if this is related. Also have an STD called HPV, again not sure if thats related.

I tried niacin, didnt work, I tried all creams that are supposed to stop itch, nothing. I have to wear long underwear to cover my legs and I put my t-shirt on right after I drench myself in baby oil. When I lie down it sometimes goes away but it sometimes wakes me up itching.

There is no rash that I can see, only redness from scratching. Someone suggested I see a neurologist, get an MRI, but that could be costly, I read about other possibilites such as HIV, diabetis, MS, but I sure hope thats not it.

What do I have ??  what can I do ???   will this ever go away ?? its 3 weeks already, any cures ??  what can I do to  relieve these ITCHY symptoms ??

Thank you !!!

I thought I was the only person experiencing this exact pain. Right after the shower I feel like needles are sticking me in my legs mostly and this has been happening since I was a child I am 25 now. The only somewhat relief I get is WRAPPING UP IN MY SHEETS AS WELL! I wish I could get answers, nothing helps or makes it go away

Hi, hope you are doing better now? I do understand how frustrating it will be to keep scratching everywhere and how intense at times. Few common causes of paresthesia could be like nerve impingement due to pressure effects, decreased blood supply, high blood sugar levels, side effects of certain drugs, alcohol, vitamin deficiency, etc. Sometimes even dry skin can cause you this sensation due to dehydration and particularly after having bath with soap. Do continue applying moisturizers and keep drinking lot of water. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight, alcohol and any medications till you get evaluated. You need to consult your family doctor or neurologist for a complete check up and necessary investigations. Post your thoughts and progress. Take care
