Hi antete,
Burns can definitely have caused nerve damage.
Hi Ysheela,
I'd also try something such as Fastum gel - a very fast-working anti-inflammatory. Just use it locally when the pain is stabbing - this should give you quick relief.

I was burned as a child on my lower legs and feet. 4th degree burns and full thickness. I have severe shooting pain as well as throbbing, it comes and goes and at random times. Could this be related to the burns or could it be the nerves in my feet? It is mostly my left foot. I have always had discomfort but have lived with it fairly well. It seems to be getting worse and at times almost unbearable.
Hi, this could be neuropathy like sciatica, nerve compression due to disc prolapse, peripheral neuropathy, etc. Please get nerve conduction studies done along with MRI spine.
Try vitamin B and E preparations for 2 weeks along with pain killers, if no relief is observed do consult doctor.
