Face and hands tingling

I am a 34yo female, stay at home mom, taking effexor 150mg time released for depression (which is under control nicely) I have been experiencing "burst" of tingling to my face, tounge and hands.  some of the time it is so strong it makes my head shake a little.  Its that tingling with dizzy that you would get before you pass out, but I never have.  Sometimes I get them as much as 20x a minute when it gets really bad.  Other times I won't have one for an hour or two.  They seem to be worse when I am up and doing something, but still get them when I am sitting doing nothing.  I will have this go on for about 3-4 days then it goes away.

This is the 6th time in a year.  I had it get pretty severe during my last pregnancy and went and saw a doctor, it was passed off as anxity since I was having a rough time with being sick during the entire pregnancy.

What is making this a concern for me is it has only been a month since my last episode and I have been forgetting things lately.  I don't have a great long term memory to begin with but this is like forgetting that I talked to my mom two days ago for over an hour.  I usually don't forget things like that.  Ask me where something is and I can tell you exactly, but not lately.

Any information would be a great help.  I would like to go in and see my Dr but would like to be better prepared and not get passed off as anxity again, because I am not overly stressed, not more then a typical mom with 6 kids.

Hi, thanks for the advice.
I was having these episodes before I started taking the effxor.  I have my dosage adjusted about 6 months ago and other then the tingeling, this is the best I've ever felt.

As of yesterday I have not had another episode.  I will document how long between my next.  Does anyone think I should  have the evaluation done when I'm having an episode or should any time work?

Thanks for posting.

hi, since when you are taking Effexor?.This could be related to side effect of effexor,or may be due to neuropathy or depression itself.

Please consult doctor who might consider adjusting the dose of drug or switching over to another drug.An evaluation for neuropathy is indicated too.

bye and take care!
