can anyone help us???

Hello,
my husband of 48 yrs old has been going thru so much when it comes to medical. Back in 2008 my husband had a " seizure" . he was sent to neuro and was told that they weren't even sure it was a seizure...could be due to stress but put him on anticonvulsants. 4 yrs later, aug 2012 my husband had 4 grand mal seizures right in a row one evening and was rushed to local hospital. blood tests and ct scan were done and he was released. notified his neuro and he recommended increasing his anti convulsants, his level was too low...upon doing that, my husband had many more seizures of all types over a period of a month. he was admitted to hosp to do further testing but nothng showed. symptoms, were : seizures, headaches, vertigo, vision disturbances, memory loss, tremors. In oct 2012  over a 2 day period, loss use of his right side of body and was admitted back into hosp. where there did mri of head and cerv sping and lumber spine. all somewhat normal as they say. but white spots were found on frontal lobe butthey say its due to age. added symptoms then were core ataxia, spasticity, tremors , he was in a wheelchair for 2 weeks. before discharge they did say he had neuropathy and something with his vestibular wrong. sent him to an ENT where he found damage to R inner ear. also saw an internal medicine specialist who did tests thru blood and urine for wilsons disease and checked all his levels...all came back fine. he also had the nerve test done on his leg which showed neuropathy. in dec 2012 he had another episode where he loss use of his right leg but did not affect his arm this time. he has had many tests and they still have no idea what is wrong with him, he has been diagnosed with high cholesterol and high BP which he takes meds for as well. his most current symptom happened 3 days ago, ringing in his ears...R is worse then L but its in both. doctor says he is fine...just something u will have to live with! we are so frustrated not knowing what is wrong...it seems all doctors just review his notes and say the same thing the last doctor did. we get no where. all we want is for someone to take the take to start at square one and try to find what is wrong. all docs say nothing is wrong but he is still on all these meds including anticonvulsants....why if they feel they are not true seizures?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi!
I am sorry to hear about your husband’s medical problems. Seizures can occur due to MS, improper electrical conductivity of brain, lupus, high caffeine intake, microbleeds due to high BP, brain tumor, brain infection, benign intracranial hypertension (BIH), Chiari malformation, effect of medication, etc. High fever can also precipitate seizures. In his case it could be high BP or BIH.  Please discuss these possibilities with his treating doctor. Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.
