Jerk after sleep

Hi,
My 5year old daughter diagnosed to have Periventricular Leukomalacia (PVL) + developmental delays, she also had a FITS when she was in NICU. We have been continuing Valporin medicine for fits and since she was normal till 4years we have suddenly stopped giving valporin during 4th year, 5months after stopping valporin she started having jerks after sleep. She has the jerks for 15mins after sleep. For last 6months i have started giving valporin as per doctor's advice but i am still not seeing any improvements. I am very much worried about this, is there really a medicine which can stop the jerks? Please help

Thank you doctor, we have consulted the paediatric neurologist at Manipal (bangalore), he did suggested the increase of valporin from 4ml to 5ml, thing were improving till last week. Suddenly, today morning at 4AM during sleep she started getting it back with very high frequency, i though it is fits & i gave a key set in her hand, it stopped after 10secs. I am really scared now, looks like valporin is not helping. Please help.

Currently, in bangalore there is weather change and it becomes very cold during early mornings, would it be due to weather change

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
The symptoms of jerky movements may have occurred due to sudden withdrawl of the seizure medication. Now she may need a higher dose or a more potent drug to control the jerky movements. Please consult a paediatric or adult neurologist for the examination, diagnosis and management plan. MRI of the brain may be required for diagnosis. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
