Light headedness

Symptoms: starts with a sense that my heart has stopped beating followed by intense heat in my chest that radiates to my head and then extreme lightheadedness, a feeling as though something has "popped" in my head,  colors intensify, all accompanied by an intense feeling of foreboding. These episodes last for several seconds to a minute or two and do not seem related to body position, time of day, extertion (or lack thereof).

Hello Peg, im wondering if your heart is having funny little beats called PVCs or ... maybe a migraine aura. Not an expert here but If you have this on a regular basis, you may want to see your doc and just get his opinion. Its probably no big deal, but if it is worrying you, it may be worth a simple office visit.

Thanks so much for your response. I'm not sure it actually worries me a great deal...except for the fact that when it happens I have this very clear feeling that I'm going to die My vision starts to fade before the "popping" and the color changes...and the feeling of foreboding is intense. However, I've survived each episode so far...
