Mri result of brain

Please explain what exactly this means under impression:
Development of abnormal signal and enhancement in the bilateral internal auditory
canals and along the ninth and tenth cranial nerve complex concerning for subarachnoid tumor spread.
This is not definitive and CNS analysis and close interval follow-up may be necessary to confirm this finding.

I mean if the MRI was done for a tumor, then it has spread via the subarachnoid space.

Hi!
The signal enhancement can be due to infection, inflammation or due to a tumor. If the MRI was done for a subarachnoid tumor, then possibly this has spread along the mentioned cranial nerves. Please discuss this with a doctor who can examine you to clinically correlate the findings.  Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
