Of course I cannot give you a 100% guarantee about anything...all I can do is look at the FACTS and make obvious deductions about what is likely, and what is not.

If you look in the anxiety forum for the last week there are 2 or 3 people every day who have been told by a few doctors they have anxiety but no heart problems after numerous tests. Consider how many more people are in the same situation each week and don't even know what MedHelp is so never post their issues. This indicates that perhaps there are 3,000 NEW people in total that have this problem every week. So perhaps 100,000 NEW peopleevery year.
Do you think medical science is so unproven at this point in time that 100,000 people every year have a heart issue that the machines and doctors miss it? That would amount to a lot of body count if the diagnosis was that bad, because if they all had a heart issue then 100,000 would die every year, because of all the ones that had occurred in the past living out their 2 or 3 years before the misdiagnosed heart gave out on them.
Think about that 100,000 statistic and wonder how many of those people who think there is a problem in reality have healthy hearts.

"I always tell people in your situation (having a hard time accepting the anxiety diagnosis) that the best thing to do is dive head first into anxiety treatment and give it your all."
That will include ricky telling his therapist of his fears that all the doctors he has seen are wrong. The therapist needs to know the issue to be able to get a result.

Ricky...I think you're chasing your tail, which is common...some people just can NOT accept a diagnosis of anxiety with ease.  They doubt, they run back and forth to doctors, and specialists, until they are so defeated, they don't know what to do.

At SOME point, you have to look at the facts and consider that the anxiety diagnosis is right.  For one, what you report is very typical of anxiety.  Two, you're a YOUNG man...the chances that you have some elusive serious medical condition are slim to none...and lastly (and most importantly)...you've had countless thorough work-ups and assessments by many doctors and specialists.  Everything comes back normal.  You just cannot ignore that.

I always tell people in your situation (having a hard time accepting the anxiety diagnosis) that the best thing to do is dive head first into anxiety treatment and give it your all.  What do you have to lose right?  If it ISN'T anxiety, you won't be any worse for wear, and if it IS, you should start to see some improvements.

But in order to really give the treatment a chance, you have to TRY.  I know you'll tell me you have tried, but you really haven't...not wholeheartedly.  Go back and read your prior threads.  You have been fearful of the meds, therefore, you haven't given them a fair shake, and if I remember right, you haven't had much therapy, if any (I can't recall).

Like I just told you today on the anxiety forum...this takes TIME.  Anxiety will get better, but you have to work at it...you have to learn how to change that anxious way of thinking and worrying.  That doesn't happen overnight.  If you aren't going to TRY to accept that and TRY to really give your all to treating this as anxiety, you will most likely stay stuck in this same rut.

In my heart of hearts, after reading and responding to most of your posts..I absolutely positively think you have an anxiety disorder.  All we can do is try to guve you the encouragement you need to try to accept that. The only other choice is to seek out multiple opinions from other doctors...and like you said, money is an issue for that.

It's VERY hard to accept that anxiety could cause such real physical symptoms...but if you read through the anxiety forum, you'll see you're not alone.  People live with this every day...and people who thought they also had a medical condition are amazed when their symptoms start disappearing...right along with the anxiety.  THAT is the proof you need, which is why you need to stick with the anxiety treatment and give it your all.  You've done a lot of talking about it...it's time for action now.
