Scalp Burning & Head Tension

Although not clinically diagnosed, I have experienced a viral infection which has hospitalised me 3 times.  The viral infection itself has since diminished, however,  it has left me with pressure in my head & neck and a constant burning sensation in my scalp and now my eyes seems to be sore quite often.  I am taking Lyrica to help suppress the pain, but am desperately in need of being able to talk with someone who may be experiencing the same thing.  I also have post viral fatigue which means I am unable to work as I have little or no energy most of the time.  PLEASE HELP, do you have these symptoms?  Is there a cure for this awful burning neuralgia pain in my head/scalp?  I feel so down.  To wake up every day for the last 6 months with this pain is so demoralising.  I need to know I am going to get better from this.  Help me please...

so sorry to hear about what ur going thru. Iam also going thru this same exact thing, only i have no idea where it came from. in Jan. we recieved a letter at work telling us that everyone's pay was getting cut and from then on, ive had a burning in my brain and a feeling of pressure that travels from one part of my head to another on any given day. when i wake up is the best part of the day. as the day wears on, it gets worse. had mri, cat scans, seen dentist, opthamologist, neurologist, neurosurgeon, and now pain management. noone seems to know what this is, or whats causing it. some days are worse then others. the pressure feels like there is a bowl over my scalp that is getting smaller and smaller. the burn is relentless and this is driving me crazy!. i have 4 children and i have to remind myself to calm down before dealing wioth any crisis, because i have very little patience. if you find out anything, please post there are alot of people going thru what we are and noone knows anything. you are not alone.

With post viral infection it is not common to have scalp burning for 6 months. This might be related to some other problem. Check with a neurologist for migraine, or any other cause. Check for hypertension.
Post viral you should take proper balanced diet with protein, vitamins and increase your health.
