Hello-
I wanted to go over what has been going on to see an advice or thoughts. I been having chronic dizziness prob for 5-7 years. I’m just used to it by now. I had been vertigo for two weeks in June 2021. It left thankfully. But soon to follow i started having balance issues, leg pain in thigh area, upper arm pain. Both right side. To follow that i was noticing my speech was off in Feb 2022. This prompted me to visit a neurologist to rule out als, ms bc dr google showed that’s what it is . He ran tons of test. Mri of brain and cervical spine, emg/ncv, ssep, blood work and did a neuro exam as well. The mri of brain some few white scattered flunctates. He wasn’t concerned. The neck showed chronic cervical stenosis and cervical spondolytic myelopathy. This is what is causing my balance and weakness/pain he said. I’m 38 yr old male i should add. My emg was normal, he did both legs, under chin, back of neck and arms. Said not to worry about als. The ncv showed carpal tunnel in right hand and ulner nerve compression in right elbow/hand as well. My question is more around the speaking stuff. I do have really bad health anxiety. I do not take meds. I went to neuro again bc i was nervous about my speech. I asked if he can repeat emg which is in at end of month. My question is can he have done the emg to early? Even though it was done when i had symptoms. Can this still be ms even though i didn’t have lesions. He didn’t even want to do the emg again bc he’s not worried about all. But i read that bulbar can be missed. Please help. Everyone says my speech sounds normal but some people ask me to repeat bc I’m mumbling and cluttering words. Also i did see speech pathologist in April who said i might have slight fluency issue but nothing else. Please advise thoughts if i can feel good that it’s not bulbar als like test and doc says. And also if this sounds like ms even though no lesions
