fibula fracture after falling back on metal stairs

I injured myself at work landing back on my ankle down a flight of metal warehouse stairs. Found out I fractured my fibula on left ankle. Now I'm having spasms in my lower back along with burning on my buttocks up at the top. It knots up in my back I can feel it from the surface. What could that be from

Ouch, what a bad fall.  Clearly something is injured in your back whether it is nerve damage or disk damage from being jammed or what.  YOu need to follow up with your doctor.  Things that often help are icing the area, stretching and ibuprofen but I wouldn't do anything until you get guidance from your doctor.  Physical therapists are also excellent at helping with this kind of back pain.

Oh, and the menthol patches like the brand salon pas or icy hot are fantastic for helping with relief for this kind of thing.  I also like arnica cream which is homeopathic. good luck
