atrophy

My husband has ben diagnnosed with severe cerebellum atrophy,please can you t ell me what the future holds for him as i know this can be quite fatal .He is 65 years old.

Hi thank you for answering my question.I do know for sure that Dave's problem is heredity,his neurologist told us this straight of,just in case we had or were going to have any children of our own.I did explain that we were both a bit to old to start making babies.
Any info you have will be great as at the moment we are being told "nothing we can do for you"end of.

I am 52 and 6 years ago had MRI and was dx. same as your husband.  I still walk although I have a lot of scars from falling.  Progression of this is not fun and he will need understanding and support, as you will too.  Through blood test I received a specific dx and found my disease is heredity.  I could offer more information if you knew his dx. however, would not want to provide anything misleading.   Talk to your health care professional.
