my mother, who is 83, and is suffering with memory loss and mental fuzziness,
worse when upright, and better when lying down, has an MRI which is being read as
"innumerable foci of increased signal intensity in subcortical and periventricular deep white matter, consistent with chronic ischemic gliosis.
I just joined this website -- does anyone know how I can access answers to either my
or other's questions.
thanks
hi,lack of blood supply leading to fibrous bands formation because of proliferation of astrocytes in damaged areas of the central nervous system.
This happens due to infarction, stroke,TIA etc causing brain injury leading to nerve cells death followed by fibrous tissue formation.
