cervical surgery

i have just had cervical surgery
I have eleven bulging disc in the area
my neck pain is excellent
but the pain in my back is not good at all
it seems to be in the big muscles left and right of the spine up the top
would this be because it might have upset the others by having the surgery and it will settle down
the surgery was done eleven days ago
hopefully you can give me some advice
I have been having pain relief every 3 hours and rest and hotpacks

the eleven disc that are damaged and start at the top of my spine. I have already had 3 dics fused around the L4 mark, they have fused 3 at the top now. I think I am just wanting it to be better now so I must be patient.
thanks for you advice hope that clears things up for you

Not sure I understand your question.  You have eleven bulging disc where?  Wht did they fix with the surgery?  It has also been 11 days since your surgery? What type of surgery did you have?  and did your surgeon give you and estimate of what to expect during recovery?   Rest is good and Hotpacks you might want to alternate with ICE unless instructed otherwise. I am not a doctor so can't tell you what to do.  Could off more advice if I had more details though.  So again if it is muscle pain and or spasm then heat is good nerve pain ice is good swelling ice is good.  what are you taking for pain relief?  are you up and walking around or are you bed ridden?
