constant uncontrollable movement

does anyone know anything about constant uncontrollable movement?  i am taking anti-psychotic medications which seem to exacerbate my symptoms (they have neurological side effects).  However, when i was a small child i had problems with pacing, sitting on the ground and pushing and rocking back and forth, and sitting on my butt and bouncing on the bed to the point that i broke beds and couches until recently.  i have also had a habit of hand-clenching and have hurt my wrists several times from doing it.

until i was medicated recently (accidental find) for the very severe neurological side effects that the geodon was causing, i could never stop pacing long enough to read a few pages in a book.  i would often wonder around and open refrigerator doors mindlessly in my confusion and wonder off as if i had no clue where i was, or that i existed on planet earth.

i have bipolar disorder, but since going on the medications to fix the neurological aspect, my life has changed drastically.

if anyone can give me any information i would appreciate it.

thank you.

i have been on anti psychotic medications for 8 years and have had the above symptoms for about 20 years.  i used to get in trouble for them as a child actually.

I believe my anti-psychotic medications are exacerbating the symptoms of an underlying neurological disorder namely Akathisia which does not always happen due to a side effect of medication; it can occur on its own and therefore be exacerbated by other medications.

I have had some very odd reactions to Geodon including: numb face, numb legs, numb toes, loosing muscle control in my legs, muscle spasms in my eyes, uncontrollable swallowing, nerve pain, everything from the knees down popping and snapping after sleep (very painful), trouble urinating, constant sweating, heart palpitations, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, night sweats, trouble swallowing......and the list goes on.

And of the medications i have taken...this one isn't really that bad!!
