muscle problems, whats wrong with me!!!?

The past 2 weeks i started to develop muscle spasms/twitches throu out my entire body. The first week wasnt so bad, just an annoyance. The past week, its been really almost intolerable. The second week, i started to get the spasms more frequently and noticed tightness in my legs (thighs to feet) and actually, it is causing my muscles to be sore like i was working out. The muscles in my legs feel as though they are cramped and it gets very irritating. Today the muscles in my shoulders started to feel the soar and irritating feeling too. Also the past week, i've noticed i've been getting headaches at the back of my head and makes me worry about brain tumors or something or if its just a neck issue. A new symptom occured two nights ago and last night as well. When i am sleeping at night, i wake up about every 2 hours to both of my arms being asleep i guess. They become numb and almost no mobility for the first 30 seconds to a minute. I need to shake em around for a bit to get em back to normal. I am woried this is a neurological problem and scared to let it go any longer. Oh yeah and also, i noticed the past 3 days or so, ive been getting very very minor chest pain right in the center of my chest but only lasts for about 20 minutes but it happens maybe a 6 times a day. I dont know if this means anything but three and a half months ago i slept with a girl who i found out later used to be a prostitut and 3 weeks after that i develpoed enlarged nodes and glands which still remain. I went and got tested for all the sexual transmitted diseses and all were negative but still its someting on the back of my mind. Im not sure if something like that could be associated with my current symptoms or not. I went to the doctors 3 times about this and he told me its from anxiety or depression and i told him he was nuts cause its not from that. But he continues to give me muscle relaxers, anxiety meds, and dpression meds. Well, non of them worked what so ever and i knew they werent cause its not from that.  Any kind of information would be much appreciated.
thanks and god bless,
chris

For starts, you should find a physician willing to address your concerns because the one you have does not seem to be.  For the most part, your problems sound Neuro in nature.  If you don't need a referral from a Family Physician/PCP to see a Neurologist, than consult one ASAP.  Again, please find another Family Physician/PCP who IS going to help you.

Keep us posted.

I skipped part of your post because I don't like to read about certain things.  But I will say that I think you should get your potassium checked to make sure it isn't low, as this can cause muscle cramping.  I would also suggest you might get an x-ray of your neck to see if there is any nerve pinching/encroachment going on.  Also, you might ask a doctor about an MRI of the brain to check for signs of MS or tumor.  And if you are twitching out of control while you are not feeling anxious, you might want to see if an EEG is in order as well.  Regarding pain in the center of your chest- there are a lot of things near there, including your heart and your stomach on the left side and your gallbladder on the right.  It's also where the sternum bone and many ribs come together and costochondritis can cause a great deal of musculoskeletal pain.

First coulse of action should be to drink a couiple of glasses of milk a day. If that doesn't work try magnesium glycinate.

Quineine sulfate used to be prescfribed, but the FDA banned it. Fortunately, I have a supply that will last me for three and a half centuries.

Massage and sauna treatments are helpful.

Thank you for your question. This muscle spasm is also called as muscle fasciculation & appears when the muscle contracts on its own (without nerve stimulation).  Most of the times these symptoms occur without any underlying disorder & they are not harmful or may appear after anxiety, viral illness or long term illness. But sometimes this muscle twitching appears after hormonal disorder (esp.thyroid) or as atrophy and weakness of muscle as well. Most likely cause of this twitching with weakness/atrophy of muscle can be when the nerve supplying to body muscles are not functioning properly due to any neurological disorder. If you suffer continuous weakness and notice reduced strength of muscle bulk in areas, please arrange an appointment with a neurologist right away who will evaluate the possibilities here. Hope this information proves helpful to you. Take Care & Regards!!!
