I dont understand why she was not given a Lumbar puncture at the first er. visit or at the clinic. Do you read hospital records or give causation reports.As My question now is why this procedure was not performed earilier.

Yes the earlier the treatment is started the better the results especially so if it is a case of meningitis. Any patient who is complaining of unexplained neurological symptoms like seizures should undergo LP to rule out the possibility of meningitis.
This should be done in young people who are particularly vulnerable to meningitis. The reason for cardiac arrest is brain edema.
