I have a nonspecific hyperintensity within the subcortical region in the right frontal lobe measuring 4mm. That along with a small focus of hyperintense T2 intramedullary signal noted iwtin the midline dorsal aspect of the spinal cord measuring 2mm and a second focus of hyperintense T2 intramedullary signal measuring 2mm to 3mm in AP dimension.
Pain and spine doc says no big deal, we'll check again in 6 months. A coworker's husband is a neurologist and she had me email the reports to him. He said that I should see a neurologist ASAP. Is he just trying to get me to see one of his fellows, or should I just take with the pain doc says and not worry? I have issues with bulging discs and mild spinal stenosis, and I'm having bi-weekly pain flairs that gabapenton and opiods do not touch. PT makes everything worse. I'm seeing my doc next Monday and don't know if I should push for a referral to a neurologist, or just take his advice and wait and see...
