I mix quinoa half and half with brown rice (cook rice in double the water it would normally have, and then add quinoa to the rice during last 15-20 minutes of cooking time). That works well, and you could also sprinkle with some pine nuts or canned chick peas at the end before serving. Good luck!
You can add a sweetener to it or just add the quinoa to salads, soups, regular rice, and yogurt, etc to have the benefit of quinoa plus it will not be bland. Quinoa is a 'grain' consisting of 8 essential amino acids (protein) which is the same as milk, plus it is gluten free (wheat -free). It is a great protein source for people who do not eat meat and it can be eaten in different methods as I stated above. Suggest gathering some recipes online to help you with additional methods of cooking/eating quinoa. You are taking a medication that has side effects of dizziness and weight gain (cravings). Suggest when you do have cravings that are very strong, you eat 'empty' calorie foods such as water, diet jello, and salad with very little dressing. Thank you for your question.
