Why am I still orange?

When I was on Weight Watchers, I ate a lot of baby carrots (carrots have 0 points), and actually got rather addicted to them.  I ate about 8-10 1 lb. bags a week, until I turned orange.  I cut back on the carrots quite some time ago - it's been almost a year since I started cutting down - and I am now down to two 1 lb. bags a week, but although I am much less orange than before, I'm still orange!  I knew that it would take several months to get my natural color back, but this seems a bit ridiculous.  Do I have to stop eating carrots altogether in order to lose the unnatural glow?

You are still consuming a large amount of Beta-Carotene a week (precursor of vitamin A). Vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin that stays in our body. Suggest only eating 1/2 cup 2-3 times a week. You may be eating other sources of Vitamin A / beta-carotene without realizing which is causing you to remain 'Orange'. Beta-carotene food sources are bright orange and yellow fruit/ vegetables, and dark green vegetables. Hoped this helped you.

Thanks, that was helpful - disappointing, but helpful.  I love carrots.
