how can I test for B6 toxicity and what are symptoms

I have been treated for hypothyroidism for the las 10years with Thyroxine. In the last two years although my blood tests have shown thyroxine to be at a normal level I felt unwell, aches and pains, lethergy, depression amongst many. Unconvinced I consulted a private nutritionist and thyroid expert who has been supporting me with a new regime for last 12weeks. This includes Nutri Adrenal 60mg daily together with nutri Thyroid as well as my thyroxine. I was originally on 125mg thyroxine but this proved to be too much with the additional support and am now testing with 50-75mg. However in the last four weeks I have been troubled with itchiness especially in the evenings in my face in particular including my eyes and mild numbness in my legs and tummy. My nutritionist thought this might be too much thyroxine but I am now on a low dose and I think increasingly this seems unlikely.
Is there anyone out there can help I am despairing as to what to do next. I have arranged for a liver function test to see if I am toxic. Would welcome some thoughts.
Thankyou
Ella

Vitamin B6 toxicity causes temporary neurological symptoms, which, according to the literature, usually take up to 6 months for it to resolve itself for majority of people. There are some people who do have permanent damage. It is recommended not to take any supplement of vitamin B6, if you are toxic, and try not to eat large amounts of foods high in vitamin B6 at meals for 6 months. After 6 months I suggest you only get Vitamin B6 from your food sources (no greater then 100mg a day) and not from supplementation. The Food sources with lowest amounts are: Peaches, Milk, Peas, Carrots, Ground Beef, Brown Rice, Soybeans, Avocado, Banana, and Turkey. Suggest going to your MD and get blood work done to see your vitamin B6 levels.

Thankyou for your response. Since the vit B6 is part of the adrenal support supplement I am in dilemna. I will follow up test to see current levels in blood to rule that out.
