I have OCD, and when stressed out in life, I get intrusive thoughts of very horrible things, and nightmares. When my stress is less during the day i do better, try and lighten your stress load.

For one, you are worthy and I think you are a caring person.  Put post it notes all over, on your mirror on your icebox.  Self affirmatins, I am a good person, I deserve a goodlife, other good things about yourself and I know there is plenty.  I didn't mean to offend when i said some people get satisfaction out of some of their thoughts, it is not so much the thoughts but the ritiual of having them, keeps them safe.

Of course, we get a certain satisfaction out of thethoughts or we wouldn't do it.  It's not that we necessary like the thoughts but we feel safer after our little rituals but we don't play the tape all the way through to the end.  You have to train your mind.  You have the thought, you stop the thought, take a look at the thought rationally and let it go.  Our fears will eat our lunch.  Work on self-esteem and owning yourself and your thoughts.
