Did my Doc make a wrong choice?

Hi y question is what is the treatment for a broken toe, my doc took the xray n send me home for 5 weeks with crutches, but the way he treat it im having 2 thoughts about it he basically put the big toe wrap together with the next one and said see u in 4 weeks and but the way if u move it im gonna have to operate, the warap he put its like duck tape but medical and its falling down and im realy scre any advice?

Broke my little toe at work not wearing shoes so never told them about it because , well, no shoes.....anyway, it healed fine without anything. It did hurt for awhile and I did limp but all turned out well......there is really nothing you can do...besides it would have looked kinda funny with an itty bitty cast on it!!!!!

Hello!

The factures of the phalanges of the toes: These are common injuries, most often resulting from fall or a heavy object, or twisting of the toes. The great toe is injured most commonly. Satisfactory general alignment is maintained in most cases and little or no treatment is required. The injured toe is covered with a soft wooly dressing and strapped to the toe adjacent to it.

Take care and follow up with your orthopedician!
