Dislocation

6 years ago I dislocated my lift pinky playing basketball. I went to physio for a bit to try and get it to go straight which never worked. My pinky knuckle is massive, its doubled the size of my right pinky. For the past 3-4 weeks it gets this numbing sensation, could it be a pinched nerve or something?

Hello!

Yes, nerve conduction tests can tell you if there is nerve involvement.

I would suggest you to take a referral from a neurologist if required.

Take care

Could the numbing sensation be nerve damage? Is there a test to determine if it is nerve damage?

Hello!

The most common reason for this lump is improper healing of the bone, tendon or ligament involvement or a fracture lump.

Need proper diagnosis by an X-ray and if required also proper diagnosis of the lump by a MRI.

Follow up with an orthopedician for the best course as any dislocation which continued for 6 years may require a surgical intervention.

Take care!
