Recurrent Dislocations after arthroscopic labral repairs?

I've now had two arthroscopic labral repairs with suture anchors placed the past two Decembers. My first one went well for just under a year until it dislocated playing hockey. I agreed to a second one and rehab went well; I haven't had anything major since but I did notice it partially popped in and out (almost felt as though it got caught on something) while overhead stretching. That was back in March. I was just thankful it didn't completely dislocate. Ice and rest for a while and I was fine since. Even invested in a brace to make me more aware of my body mechanics. Unfortunately two days ago I wasn't so lucky. I think it still only partially dislocated, but posteriorly instead of the usual anterior. I was able to maneuver it back in place after about five mins. Today it is still softball size and I'm icing/NSAIDS since the injury. Anyone else had similar issues? I really don't think going back to the surgeon is an option at this point.

Oh my.  Sounds painful.  Are you still playing hockey?  You don't want to cause further issues, so I personally would consider seeing your doctor again.  They are going to try to limit your activity though and I'm guessing this isn't something you want. Hockey is a brutal on the body sport, is there anything more gentle you can do?
