My knee dislocated and now my whole leg is swelling

About a week ago, I dislocated  my knee while doing competitive swimming. It shifted to the whole side if my left knee. Since then I have seen doctors. I had asked him the question of why my foot was swelling. He simply said it was fluid.. (it was only my foot that had been n swelling at the moment) But since then my whole leg from my hip to my foot has ballooned up. It's still the same color but its hard to move and very heavy.  I don't no whats going on and I am a little concerned. Please help
