Hi again!
If the discomfort is just occasional, it is less likely to be due to something grave. However I would still suggest getting this evaluated by your primary care physician, if not an orthopedician.
Take care!
Wow..I never realized it could be so many things. I thought maybe a simple strain of something seeing how it doesnt last but about 5-7 days. I ruled out arthritis and similar as it only does it when I twist my knee slightly. The spot of the stabbing when it occurs is dead center right below the knee cap actually, and the spot would feel to be about the size of a dime. I guess I will have to wait until it happens again (which Im hoping it doesnt) and finally have it checked out.
Thank You for a quick reply!
Hi there!
Well, without an evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms. A few possibilities include patellar dislocation, chondromalacia patellae, infections/ inflammations, arthritis, bursitis, tendonitis, cyst formation, bone growths/ masses, nerve impingement/ pressure fractures, injuries to the internal knee ligaments/ menisci etc; just to name a few. I would suggest consulting an orthopedician for an evaluation. After a cause is diagnosed, it can be managed accordingly.
Hope this helps.
Take care!
