I had sternoclavicular joint repair in March of last year. My surgeon took my front neck muscle and wrapped it around my collarbone and breast bone to make it a stable joint.
Well, the last few months I have been having a lot of neck pain mainly and some pain at the joint. My previous surgeon didn't want to use bolts since it would make it a fixed joint (there is suppose to be a little play) so I would lose some flexibility. Well my doc now said that he thinks that my neck muscle could be too tight which is causing my pain that I am having.
I go back to the doctor tomorrow to see if I need a second surgery. If I do need one, I would not mind bolts, I already lost some flexibility and it won't strain any muscles.
Has anyone had any surgeries like this? Should I do the second surgery? I am for it just cause I am hoping this relieves the pain.
Any advice?
Thanks
