What sort of Dr. can help me?

Hi, after breaking my ankle twice in a row in 2004, I ended up with terrible knee pain. Knee Dr.s did every test and treatment known and finally decided that my knee was pristine, there was a problem but it wasn't theirs. Two second opinions agreed. 2006 my same ankle started to snap and hurt. A podiatrist tightened a ligament, drained a tendon sheath, fitted me for custom orthodics and came to the end of what he felt he could do. My ankle feels tired at times, but my knee hurts so badly that I use pain medication, limit my activities, use handicap parking and sometimes a cane.
It's all muscular pain and feels like my knee is being torqued. Please, do you have any suggestions of who might be able to help me?

I did see a pain specialist who did a nerve block that didn't help. I don't know if that is the same as a neurologist or a neuromuscular disorder specialist. I'll do some checking.
Thanks for your response and happy new year.

Hi Becky,
How are you feeling? I feel sorry that you have to go through all this. What is your name?
I think you have seen enough orthopaedician and podiatrist.
Have you ever consulted a neurologist or neuromuscular disorder specialist?
I think you should be seeing a neurologist to assess if any neurological pathology exists.
A visit to neuromuscular disorder specialist will also be helpful.
Hope this helps you.
Bye.
