You will have more complications and symptoms if your nerve gets compressed and the herniation increases, the bulge increases, the pressure increases.
Before you are faced with more complications if you can limit by physiotherapy it would be fine but if it is not possible as it depends from case to case you have to go for another surgery.
Assess the nerve damage and other neurological problems near a neurologist and keeping this in mind take whatever decision you want for surgery with your orthopaedician. Take care!
