Hi, I have both of these problems with both knees, actually, and my left elbow. I think it's arthritis, or degeneration of cartilidge. At least that's what I was told.
I have arthritis all over, it's miserable. I can't take pain pills or even advil because of my high blood pressure, so I just use Tylenol and ice packs, sometimes the heating pad. Stretching is good for the knees, and exercising like the bike and elliptical machine. No walking or climbing.
Thank you for the response. I had ruled out arthritis, only because it felt like the pain generated from the bone, and I thought arthritis was from the muscles. I will explore this further.
Similar symptoms. The pain is in my left knee-cap and the tips of both elbows. I work out regularly in the gym with weights but the pain has started recently.
I started on a calcium supplement and a multivitamin+minerals supplement and the pain has eased off. I also started using the stairs to climb up to my office and residence, 3rd and 4th floors resp. instead of the elevator and half an hour of walking everyday. I also continued with my gym exercise routine with no changes.
It seems to have helped.
