You are welcome, and thank you sooo much for the compliments! YES I am surrounded by awesome people who are a GREAT support group!
Try and make it to the Outer Banks it will be WELL worth it!! We go in October because even the oceanfront rental houses are dirt cheap! 2006 2 other couples went with us and we rented an "ocean view" house for $2496 including pet fees and rental fees. It only cost us $832/couple for a 8 bedroom 6 bathroom house with elevator, game room, and miniature golf in the back yard seen here:

Where as July and August the house cost $6850/week ....for the SAME house, SAME amenities ...just different time of year! The houses are FULLY furnished and we grocery shop the day after arrival and eat at home for the week, then go out the last night for a great meal at a restaurant.... total cost about $1000 for a week of total relaxation and serenity!
Not only that but there are TONS of family things to do beside the beach! They have wild horses that roam on the beach. At the end of the island there is a 23 mile off road area that the beach is the only road and way to get up north to see the wild horses roaming. No 4x4...NO problem OBX Jeep sales rents brand new 4x4 Jeeps for $100 for 24 hours and 100 mile usage!
I live, breathe, and dream all year of our vacation there! Truly a sight to see like none other! I used to drive tractor trailer and have traveled in 38 of the 50 states and I have NEVER seen a place that even can compare to it!
The most honest, reliable and gorgeous houses to be rented on the Outer Banks is from Village Realty.
Thanks again for the compliments and I hope you can experience OBX soon!

I too love that picture and also your videos. You look like you have a lot of really good kind people around to support you. Hope that is so. I'm a big beach fan and have always wanted to go to the Outer Banks but that hasn't happened yet. When I was younger, I spent a few summers sleeping on the beach in an old army tent and still remember the sounds of the ocean at night. Your pictures brought those happy memories back to me, thanks, Charley
Thanks for the compliments....
Lulu that pick was a FLUKE! I had spent the entire morning on the beach for the sunrise and after the sun got too bright I was walking back to the rental house and turned around to see if I could take one last pic and BAM it was there! :)
Adelynn is our closest friends daughter, and we are "Aunt and Uncle" to her. I was honored to be able to experience her first trip to the fair with her and her parents! In addition my wife is her "God Mother" and I was the one who gave the idea For Adleynn Grace and they took it! We feel so blessed and honored!
I use Windows Movie Maker for my videos currently and the program comes standard on most new computers.
Thanks again for the compliments and viewing my website! My work on the photos and the website definitely kills the time I can't sleep until I have to go to work, and I find it to be very relaxing
I watched two of your videos so far - what program did you use? I love Adelynnes first state fair - what cute shots that capture the moment so well.
I meant to add I especially like those pictures that give me a sense of being part of it - with this shot I can feel the sea oats in the breeze, thanks to the movement in the sand.
Scottie,
The composition of this is stunning - did you scout out this shot or did it just come to you through your lens?
I love the outer banks - there is something so very rugged about that shoreline that is special.
thanks for sharing,
L
That is one beautiful picture - I love it! Those colors, that lower part of the sky, the water...
I don't do landscapes very well, seem to focus more on close in, room-sized compositions, but I do fully appreciate gorgeous scenes like this one of yours. Thanks.
