Hello... I've had the swollen ankles and wrists after Taxotere/Carbo. My Oncol. said it's a side affect of the Taxotere, and could take up to 4 months to return to normal. I wasn't able to wear my wrist watch, and yes... shoes were a problem. I found the 'crocs' shoes really good, as they were very comfortable and easy to wear. They are more for summer, but I wore them around the house in Winter with some socks. My Oncol. said that there isn't much one can do to reduce the swelling.... but like a lot of things...time heals.
Best wishes and hugs...Helen...
Of course not everything will work for everyone, but when my feet an ankles swell after chemo, I rub them down with wintergreen alchohol, then soak them in warm water and epsom salt. I know you have to be careful with "folk" remedies, but a lady who suffered from gout told me it helps relieve her gout symptoms of pain and swelling. So I tried it, and it does seem to relieve the pain. Of course, keep your legs elevated as much as you can.
Best wishes, and congratulations on finishing chemo! Hope you took time to celebrate the milestone!

My mom also had this too. She even had trouble getting her shoes on. The doctor told her it was a side effect from treatment. Her ca-125 is 4. Best of luck!
