Books for cancer library

In lieu of favors for the guests for my upcoming wedding, my fiance and I are going to jump start a cancer reference library at my treatment center.  It will be used by all cancer patients, not just ovarian.  We are starting from scratch and are looking for inspirational, informational, funny, uplifting books to purchase.  The amount of reading material out there is overwhelming and I'm looking for any suggestions that people may have....maybe a favorite book or one that's been particularly helpful.

Thank you for your time
Best, Libby

I hope you read this since it is on the second page but I've been away. One book that I found helpful is "Love, Medicine & Miracles" by Bernie S. Siegel, M.D.

And another that is great with diet is "Healing with Whole Foods" by Paul Pitchford. He has a very wise diet for cancer such as consuming seaweed. Our mineral-rich-vegetable is important.

Best of luck with you wedding!

What a lovely thing you're doing.  For breast cancer, anything by Dr. Susan Love is worthwhile.  She's an amazing breast surgeon who is direct, compassionate, knowledgeable etc.  She has a foundation which funds research as well as has a regular newsletter that it quite informative.
