Clinical Trial working!

Hi everyone...Just thought I'd pop in to let you all know the results of my last CT scan. It showed a moderate shrinkage of my tumors (about .5cm) on both masses, so I have been staying here in Toronto for the week, recieving more chemo. I had a bad allergic reaction to it on Monday and was covered in welts of hives, but they have given me Benadryl prior to my infusion, and stretched out my infusion from 1/2hr to 2 hours. This seems to be helping. I wasn't expecting good news...this is more than I could have asked for. We will continue to carry on with this regime, until it no longer seems to be effective or should I not be able to tolerate the side effects. Thanks for all the thoughts, prayers and wishes...seems as though they've worked!

I'm on PXD101... don't know much about it. There's not a whole lot on the internet that I could find. I think it has something to do with altering the DNA of a cell...but I'm going out on a limb there!
