Gail

Gail, my old friend, I see you posting, how are you?  How have you been?  I just don't see too many of the "old gang" on here for many reasons.  Good to see you post.

Jane

I too lurk around.  I am working on myself, wow what approaching 7 years at the end of this month.  I am getting ready to have another PET/CT scan in a couple weeks and I pray that it is clear, but it's not quite 2 1/2 years since surgery and 12 cycles of additional chemo since the re-occurence.  I always have the "ole gals" in the back of my mind and wonder how they are doing.  Sadly I know we have lost a few.  I am glad to know you are still fighting this beast, and bless your heart, still working full time, as I do the same, work about 50-60 hour week.  Weebles Wobble but we Don't Fall Down!!
I keep you in my thoughts and Prayers!!

Sorry, hit post too soon.

My Onc sent tissue samples from surgery to be genetically tested. We found out I have 2 gene abnormalities, but only 1 is significant as far as OvCa goes. There is a clinical trial out there...MEK Inhibitor... but it requires lots of time spent at MD Anderson. I simply can't afford the time away from work so he's looking to see if anyone closer to home is doing it.

I was just in Houston last week, and although scans are clear, my CA 125 is more than 300. It's always been a good indicator for me, so I'm hoping a trial works out.

How are you? Are you in treatment now? Good to hear from you!

Hi Jane! I'm doing pretty well. Still fighting the beast 7 1/2 years later, but it's better than the alternative. I lurk in the forum, but rarely post. I should get back into it, however.

I'm almost a year out from my last surgery and so far, no more tumors have formed. I still have cells floating around but since I'm low grade, it takes a while for them to show up.

I have exhausted the hormone rout and now all that's left is clinical tria and now all that's left is clinical trials.
