Hypothyroidism and chemo

I finished chemo in June. About a month ago my knees and ankles began swelling. I can hardly bend down Also my muscles feel like I've been working out.. And I've developed carpal tunnel syndrome(diagnosed) but I only get it when I'm sleeping. I was wondering if anyone else has gotten these symptoms since finishing chemo. My chemo drugs were Taxol and Carboplatin

Hi Vicky, I finished six rounds of taxol and carboplatin in October 2006.  I still get swelling in my legs and ankles, I've become inflexible and have troube with yoga moves, brutal body aches, itchy and always fatigued.

You mentioned in the subject of your post that you are hypothyroid.  What is your TSH level and is an endocrinologist treating you?

I just went through sever hypothyroidism (for radio-iodine treatment following thyroid surgery).  My TSH hit over 75.9 and I had most of the symptoms you mentioned plus depression, fatigue, and horrible body aches.

I'm wondering if your chemo didn't severely damage your thyroid and you need thyroid meds.

I also got carpal tunnel, following chemo, I have some perepheral neuopathy of the finger tips, but also numbness of the thumb and fingers.  It wakes me up at night, if I hang my arm off the bed the pain goes away.  Glad to know that someone else thinks it's chemo.
