I felt something like that last year, the last few days before my surgery.  I know from the images taken during my surgery that the endometrioma (cyst) was growing and attaching itself to other tissues in my abdomen.  The fallopian tube was also being stretched dreadfully out of shape as well.

I can also tell you that just knowing that there is 'something down there that ought not to be down there' can play tricks on your mind too.  It makes you more aware of every little sensation.    I am dealing with this problem at this very moment.

If you continue to have this discomfort, then  do please call your doctor's office and inform them.

Yes, the surgery to remove any woman's uterus and ovary or ovaries is very delicate anyway.   There is a good bit of watching and searching that occurs before anything is removed.  There are several blood vessels that supply the uterus and ovaries, and each must be clamped off to prevent leakage and then cut.  Also, there are the ureters from the kidneys that must be located and protected from being cut.   If there are scar tissues and adhesions, then these must be trimmed away as well.  The surgery also should proceed as an inspection for possible cancer, which means a thorough inspection of these and surrounding tissues, and even the appendix will be studied and removed if it appears to be infected.  These are the reasons that the surgery takes a while, and that the recovery is longer, as there has been a great deal of snipping here and there inside the abdomen.

Thank you.  I am mostly irritated that I did not just go ahead and have a hysto last year.  I have just not had problems with that portion of my body, and  I thought that  the endometrioma was an oddity.  And of course, after last year's experience, I am super-sensitive to any little thing going on in my gut, so for all that I know I have developed simple cysts on my ovaries for years and was just not aware of them!!! Hopefully, they will be gone or nearly so when  I have my follow-up.

i hear ya on that one,but in my case,i had my first known cyst when i was 16,and it has continued on from there...i just get so sick of em...if it wasnt the cysts,it was extream bleeding from fibroids,so i had ablation for the fibroids, thats been ok up untill recently, and now im back to bleeding 4 and 5 times a month,so enough was enough, and we both agredd,me and my doc,it was time reguardless of age, just yank it all out,and send me on my way..lol..have you thought about what your going to do about yours?are you considering a hysterectomy maybe??i sure hope everything goes well for you,you are a wonderful asset to this group, and many many woman count on you,and look up to you as you are a absolutly wonderful person, and very caring and supportive...tnank you mickie!!
