Sharp Pains on Right Overy

In January of this year I was seen by my family dr to treat very bad cramping, very heavy periods that would last for 14+ days and pain on right side (which i found out was where my overy is - at the time i did not know untill he told me)

I had a sonogram and also a vaginal one which showed several small cysts on both overys but a larger one on the right.  He put me on BC pills (I was 32 and have never been on them before) he said it should shrink the cysts and help with the long/heavy periods etc.  It did seem to help for about 3 months, then the 4th month I had a horrible period with cramps and extremely heavy bleading -  so bad I litterly just laid in bed in a ball and cried. The next month was bad again so I stoped taking the pills as they seemed to be affecting my mood as well and did not figure i needed to continue taking them since they did not seem to be helping.

Now, my last 2 periods, about 2 weeks before I will start having very sharp pains on my right overy, they are not fast pains but will last for quite some time ( I have currently been feeling this pain for over an hour now).  I am not sure quite how to explain it, but it also feels as if it 'catches' when I move. Does that make sense? Like if I move just right it will 'catch' and i have to stop and am afraid to move because I feel like something is caught inside on that side.

I know that I should go and be checked out again.  We have recently moved to a new state and altho I do have a dr here already I just really hate the whole 'female' visit you go through (I'm sure you can all realate lol) Espeically with a dr I am not familliar with yet.

Anyone have any thoughts on what it might be? It is especially the 'catching' feeling I keep getting that is concerning me. That and the almost constant pain on my right side.

Thank you in advance,
blue
