Need a wig?

My mother just passed away from Ovarian cancer (mmmt). She was 42 & as I was going through some of her things I realized that she has a couple wigs that I would love to donate to someone. She had blonde hair & one of the wigs was about $400, so I know they can be expensive & the donation sites only have wigs fit for older ladies. If your looking for a lighter colored, younger looking wig & are having some financial issues with buying one please let me know. I would be happy to email a picture to you. Thanks & God Bless.

I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. I don't need a wig. Just wanted to tell you that I think you are very kind to think of donating her wigs to someone in need. May God bless you.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother...she was such a young woman....Thank you for being such a giving person at such a difficult time in your life.  I know your mom would be proud....you are honoring her and I am touched.  Thank you for thinking of us...right now I am not in need of a wig as my hair has returned!
Peace.

Sorry to hear about your lose.  The ONC oncology gyn nurse at my hospital has a bunch of wigs for cancer patients to borrow.  Perhaps your mom's hospital will accept her wigs for other patients to use.

This is an old post (February 2007) and many people on the forum ignor old posts.  Please use "post a question" at the top of the page and start a new discussion.  You will want to go on the breast cancer forum, too, as the women here have ovarian cancer.

You should talk with your doctor's nurses and see if there's a local American Cancer Society chapter near you.  They have resources for low-cost wigs, etc.  Depending on where you are located, there may be other sources of help as well.  Maybe you should add that more information to your profile -- age, location and diagnosis.

Good luck.
