questions about tests

Hi,

I just had another pelvic ultra sound and transvagional done. The doctor called with the results. The Cyst that I had in November and December is still not showwing up. They say it is gone. They do see a fibroid. It is 1 inch. I asked about having a hystorectomy because of my mother. He said he would not do it. There is no cyst why do it because I did tell him I would not go on hormones. My question to you is I do have to have a colostophy done. Will that show anything. I do have the weired tinges ever now and then.Still have not had the period since December 8. I do have the discomfort sometimes it is unfortable to sleep on stomache. I feel the discomfort sometimes right below my bra in my stomach. And sometimes all in the stomach area. I would think that both ultra sounds would have showed something if something was wrong in the stomach area right. I guess I can just give it more time I just dont know what to do. I am not in real bad pain. I just sometimes dont feel right. I am just so scared becasue my mom is not doing well at all. I just want to get this if I should ever get it in time to be here for my kids. My husband thinks I get to much on the web sites. I think he thinks I am making up all of this.Since the tests have come back with no cyst.

the discomfort below the bra line could be a hiatal hernia, this is not an uncomman disorder, should show up  with endoscopy.

Did they just do a pelvic ultrasound? Or did they do an ultrasound also on your upper stomach area. I would say be persistent until you find out what is causing that pain. Best of luck to you.

Hi,

They did a pelvic ultra sound and a transvagional ultra sound. I think they did a pelvic. Funny thing is I went to a different lab. It was a womens specialty place. They did not make me drink the water. I thought they did both. I know they did the transvagional for sure lol.  Can you have a hiatal hernia eevn tho you have had your gall bladder out. Would a conlonostophy or a upper GI test tell anything. Thank you.

A hiatal hernia is a rupture of the diaphram, has nothing to do with gall bladder, it lets small parts of the intestine come into the chest area sometimes, causes acid refux, on a full stomach the intestine pushes against the weakened spot. Hiatal hernias are very comman, sometimes they do need repair but not frequently. I understand that an endoscope is the best to dx it. Was it you that said you sleep on your belly, that could be one of the reasons it hurts because you are pushing some of the organs into a flattened space. These organs have more space when your belly is not compressed. The really only reason for a repair would be a trapped portion of the intestine in the chest area, but you would have a lot of pain with that. Also a tight bra could cause some discomfort because it also compresses that area. That is the reason I don't wear one, I have had a Hiatal hernia for many years.
