What should I do?

I am a 37 year old female with 4 children ranging from ages 19 to 7.I also have a 1 month old grandchild.January 2008 I had a. hysterectomy done. The findings were a softball size tumor, (granulosa).I was told that is was a malignant, slow-growing cancer (not very aggressive).I was told that it was all gotten and the doctor didn't feel it would comeack or that i needed any further treatment. On September 25,2008 I had another surgery, this time I was sent to a gyn/oncologist.The tumor was 2cm an attached to the colon.I again was told no further treatment would be necessary. He said if it came back it would be years from now and then it would get cut out again. He also said that he didn't know if it grew there or if it fell off the first tumor.I am supposed to get my blood tested for the rest of my life to watch for this cancer. Both of these doctors make it sound sooooo simple....like it's nothing to worry about.I am not comfortable. It came back within a year.No one has mentioned what stage it's in.....I'M SCARED....ANY FEEDBACK WOULD BE HELPFUL!!!!!

0 and go to johns hopkins website and get the address for the second opinion for ur pathology and have ur doc send ur slides to them ... some mistakes are made in these alleged LMP tumors and a second opinion is the only way to confirm the diagnosis ...dont worry u are not cheating on ur doctor or not trusting him either ... u are confirming to ur satisfaction ur diagnosis u have the right to do that ... and finally if any of the above was not answered to ur satisfaction ... say thank u ... pay the man ... and let ur fingers do the walking thru the yellow pages for a second gyn onc and a true second opinion ... get a copy of ur records from ur first doc and all of ur lab reports
may god richly bless u

darling i am paddling in that same boat right along with u
i just has surgery (tah/bso) for stage 1c serous borderline tumors of the ovaries with non invasive peritoneal  implants ... this was my first abdominal surgery ever ... i see my do on the 14th to an hour consultation ... i have a book full of the same questions i thiink u should be asking plus the additional one u should ask ... why the recurrence and will there be another one ...
ask him if the cancer was from the ovaries or some other source that u need to look at .. DO NOT LEAVE HIS OFFICE UNTIL U ARE COMPLETELY SATISFIED THAT HE HAS GIVEN U ALL ALL ALL OF UR ANSWERS AND U ARE SATISFIED AND HAVE A PLAN ...that was important ... ask for a pet/ct scan ... ask for a second opinion on the pathology of ur slides ...ask for liver function test and ultrasound ask him about any abnormalities in your blood work ups both pre and post op ...have him spell out the stage and grade of cancer he has found ...any gastric or intestinal involvement ... are there any clinical trials suggested (since they didnt give u stage and grade yet) ... how often should u get follow up scans and follow up blood tests ... should u get a breast ultrasound ...also have ur thyroid checked as well ... i pray u peace and love and hope most of all
