So what could it be?

The ab scan and CT scan showed a 9cm ovarian mass.  But on opening up the growth was coming from my old laparotomy scar, hanging from a pedicle and the bulk resting on my bladder. Ovary and womb normal.

My scar was 7" long and 1" wide and had been giving me trouble from time to time.  During the last episode, it became swollen, locally hot and painful to touch and giving me a lot of bloating and gas.  It was the last straw and was why I sought help  I did say this to the gyn/onc and advised to be wary of the scar when she was opening me up. (Glad now I did).

Anyone any ideas?

Had Granulosa cell tumour (LMP) removed 16 years ago but had op again after due to large haematoma.  Yeates drains were inserted. The recent growth came from the right drain site.

Possibly glandular tissue that developed a cystadenoma? Sounds like there's no way it could be malignant regardless.
