Somebody ease my mind

A month ago I started to become ill, first constpaption not relived by a laxitive, bloating and pain so bad at times I could not move. I went to the Dr. who did a CT scan and found a 5cm oviarian cyst. I have had a colonoscipy that turned up nothing to cause my probles, now I have moments of nausea still having bloating and pain. Not to mention I have been on Birth Cotroll for a yr. now. I have no energry and my pain is still here with no reason. I also go pee alot and have no sighns of a UTI. I have an appoment with my OBGYN on tues. I got scared when I stumbled along the sighns of ovarian cancer, I have almost all of them and have had them for a month or longer. I am only 28 and a mother of 3 small children so I am really scared. Should I be worried? does anyone have a storie to share about this to help me understand?

Thank you so much for the encouraging words its the only posative things I have heard in a month, and knowing that all they have to do is just take it out and i'll get better helps my mind alot. As far as the Dr. he was really great and took me seriously because he knew I was there for a reason because the last time I went to him was 4yrs ago and I do pretty well at kepping myself healthy.

So if I have them remove both of my tubes will that stop me from getting these in the future? And how did I manage to get it in the first place if I don't ovulate?

Well anyway I'll talk to the Dr. on Tues. and hopefully I'll have a positive repost. night.

The symptoms you are experiencing, while are the symptoms of OvCa....can also be caused by cysts.  Right now you have nothing to worry about because you do not know if you have anything wrong with you.....don't waste a good panic...and remember that most ovarian cysts are benign, over 95 percent of them.  Ovarian Cancer is a relatively uncommon disease and especially at such a young age....but, it can happen.  It is wonderful that you are so in tune to your body and have a doctor that listened to your complaints....let us know what happens on Tues.....right now, try to put it out of your mind and enjoy your weekend.

You have a 5cm cyst, that can cause all the symptoms you mention, also 98% of all cysts are benign,  Usually cysts that size have to come out,  you might ask for a transvaginal ultra sound and a CA125 blood test, although it is not too accurate in pre menopausal women. Tell the doctor you want to rule out OVCA.  Take someone with you so that you get and understand all the answers to your questions.  You have a lot of things in your favor, your age, young children, BCP's all these things are in favor of NOT having OVCA.   Good Luck
