Are you concerned about low white blood cells or depression? I also finished treatment (carbo/taxol) at the end of May, and was given neulasta after every cycle. I also take synthroid for inactive thyroid. My chemo nurse told me to expect some depression after treatment was over . I think it is a combination of being off the chemo, and the emotional changes that happen. She said that for the four months that I was in treatment, I had a focus of getting through each cycle, and staying on schedule for my treatments. Each week I had to either get blood drawn, have a Dr. visit, or get treatment so each week I was reassured that everything was going great. Since treatments are over, I am only getting that reassurance every three months. It leaves alot of time to worry about every ache and pain. I think I expected to feel like my old self by now, and that hasn't happened yet. Kinda depressing. I guess we've got to give it time.
If you are referring to continuing to have low white blood cells, then yes, I think sometimes the bone marrow where the cells are made has trouble restarting. You should ask your dr. about it.
