Ovarian cyst

I had a hysterectomy 23 years ago I have been having problems since last year with my right side. I finally got a ultrasound done and it shows I have a 4.5 complex cyst. I am also  post menopausal. I have been put on birth control and the pain has became worse since then. Should I be worried and will the pill make it go away. Can anyone tell me why the pain increased since I started the pill. Thanks

It's hard to say why the pain increased since starting the pill. It could be just coincidental. The pill may help it resolve; it may not. But most ovarian cysts resolve on their own anyway, pill or not. Hopefully, yours will resolve too!
