I'm sure you'll feel more comfortable after your appt. Wednesday.
It is important if you can find out if the Gyn can tell what type of cyst you have, and how large it is, and if it appears to be leaking, twisted, or ruptured. The doctor may just want to check you every few months, or may recommend various types of surgery to remove the cysts (typically if they are 5 c.m. or larger). Ovarian cysts are 95 percent benign, so don't worry unnecessarily.
My prayers are with you, please keep us posted!

Good luck and don't forget to let us know how it goes.. Have a good weekend, and try to put it out of your mind...

Hi sandy I'm 44 and premenopausal, You know I did not even ask if the dr. was a gyn my dr. said go see this person and I said ok. Thats not something I even thought about. I need to start taking more of positive role in my health care. My appointment is wensday and I've already decided that I'm going to get a second opinion. And if the dr. is not a gyn, then I will change my coarse. Thank you for your comforting words. I have found myself in a sheer panic and you and this forum have made me realize that I need not do so. I'm feeling much calmer than the last couple of day's.
Thank you, Nancy
Hi,
If you go to the top right of the forum page, you will see a section called "Health Pages" . It explains so much regarding cysts. One question I have for you ; How old are you? Some cysts are quite common in younger women (premenopausal). Many times these cysts just disappear within a few cycles. I had a small cyst and I chose not to "wait and see" but I'm postmenopausal and it's a bit more worrisome at my age.
Please try not to worry as most cysts are benign. See what the Dr. (hope it's a Gynecologist) says. Sometimes a wait and see approach is fine for a couple of months depending on your age. Try not to worry (easy for me to say) unless you really have to worry. Truly , these things are quite common in younger gals. When is your Dr's appointment? Let us know how it turns out..
Take care,
Sandy
In all the questions I asked the size was one that I forgot. But I will ask the Dr. I'm seeing a surgeon on Wensday. Yes the cyst are causing me discomfort. Its kind of funny I have a note pad full of questions. Thank you for your input.
Nancy
Hi, and welcome to the forum. You will find a lot of great women here who are willing to help when we can. Of course you have the right to ask the doctor about surgery. It is your body and you have to do what is best for you. Just because you ask though, does not mean that the doctor will agree to it. How big were your cysts? Are they causing you trouble? Keep in mind that it never hurts to get a second opinion. By the way, are you seeing a gyn? Please keep us posted.
Hugs,
Kasie
