Ovarain Cysts and Bowel Problems/BLOATING?

Hello, after being in the ER on Monday and have a CT scan done on my stomach, I was told that I have ovarian cyst, I believe on my left ovary where this is where I feel pain...I am going to my ob-gyn tomorrow since the ER doctors did not tell me much.

Anyway, I have been bloating severely off and on, but more on than off!! I also noticed that I cannot make a bowel movement or pass gas that great as I have been able to before because when I do I have pressure.

I am believing this is caused from my cyst? Did any of you experience this as well? I actually have more problems with bloating than I do pain...is that normal too?

Not sure what actions are going to be taken, but I will find out when I see my ob-gyn..
Thanks for the advice :)

I had all those issues when I had my cyst.  I took fiber supplements. All problems were resolved after my cyst was removed.

Cysts often cause the pain and bloating.  You will know more when you visit your doctor.  The important thing is the size and content of your cyst.  Smaller, simple (fluid filled) cysts usually resolve on their own.  Larger (over 5cm), complex (solid parts) cysts usually require surgical removal.  Most cysts (even complex ones) do turn out to be benign.  So, try not to worry.  Ask your doctor his plans for treatment and follow-up.  I also think it is a great idea to ask for a copy of your scan report.  Good luck at your appointment and keep us posted!
