Had my scan yesterday, cyst is still 2.5cm. Now waiting for the doctors appointment.
at the moment I am coping well with regular paracetamol. The next scan is in 2 days. I am currently getting some niggling pain so hopefully they will see something and maybe see it at its worst?
I think I will be getting my IUD removed. Give my body time to recover and figure out whether to have some alternative.
my sister had major problems with her IUD and they all went away after she removed it
I tried topical "cold pressed caster oil compresses" for 2 wks on my stomach and my ovarian cysts went away !! look it up
Thanks for your replies. I currently still have the IUD (since June 2013). They have not mentioned how I could treat it with pills or anything. Just to wait for this 2nd ultrasound on the 29th to see what is going on.
I feel that it might be a good idea to have the IUD removed?
I don't get some much pain nowadays, not as much as when it all started. But for the docs to take up to 7 weeks to actually diagnose I am presuming that it was probably at a larger size during my painful stages. I get more of a niggling pain, feels like my right pelvic side is full of cotton wool or a tennis ball in there. Feels awkward when I lay on my right hand side or side at a funny angle.

Hello,
Most ovarian cysts disappear in 8 to 12 weeks. One of the most effective treatments for ovarian cysts is use of contraceptive pills or progesterone pills. It can also be treated surgically and this procedure is known as drilling. Other modes of treatment are laparoscopic surgery, laparotomy or surgery for complicated ovarian cysts.
