Simple ovarian cysts after 3 months of Clomid.

Hello, I really need advice.
Quick history. I'm 28 have congenital absence of left ovary.
Also had 2 episodes of right ovarian torsion and had 2 surgeries to release the torsion.
Now I'm TTC for 2 years and no results:(
Went to RE, they gave me 3 month of clomid. I ovulated but didn't get pregnant so we decided go for IVF. On base ultrasound they found 2 simple cysts on my right ovary. One is 6 sm and other 4 sm. pretty big ones. My RE told me to wait till my next period and then check it again, there is a possibility that cysts will go away. I'm very concerned about torsion which I had 2 times already.
RE told me these cysts b/c of  Clomid.
Does anybody had cysts after taking Clomid?
Did they go away or did u have surgery to remove them?
Thank you in advance.

Hello,
The fertility drug clomiphene (Clomid, Serophene), which is used to induce ovulation, increases the risk of a corpus luteum cyst developing after ovulation. These cysts don't prevent or threaten a resulting pregnancy.

Most ovarian cysts disappear in 8 to 12 weeks. One of the most effective treatments for ovarian cysts is use of contraceptive pills or progesterone pills. It can also be treated surgically and this procedure is known as drilling. Other modes of treatment are laparoscopic surgery, laparotomy or surgery for complicated ovarian cysts.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
